"I'd wanted to work on this olfactory duo for a long time. Mandarin is an extraordinary fruit for a perfumer, very faceted, both fruity with that delicate bitterness we love in a citrus fruit and very tart. As for mate, it's astonishing, offering nuances that are much greener and more herbaceous than tea. Together, they gave me that very lively, zesty freshness that leaves the delicious scent of a freshly peeled mandarin on the skin."
