The Mizensir perfumes have the particularity of being all created in Geneva by the Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas. WHERE AND HOW TO USE PERFUME?
There are two ways to wear perfume:
- On the skin, on pulse points such as the wrist or neck, to intensify the fragrance. The alchemy of your perfume with your skin will bring a very personal touch of seduction.
- On your clothes, to preserve the integrity of the original fragrance. But be careful, don't forget that some fabrics are fragile: the perfume can sometimes stain. Also, we advise you to always perfume the inside of your clothes or their lining.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERFUME, EAU DE PARFUM AND EAU DE TOILETTE?
From the same olfactory base, the perfumer can "play" on the concentration of the perfume. Depending on the desired effect, he can attenuate or amplify it. Traditionally, perfume is reserved for the evening, while eau de parfum or eau de toilette are preferred during the day. All of Alberto Morillas' creations for Mizensir are eau de parfums with concentrations ranging from 12% to 25%. The Cologne collection (Cologne du Figuier, Coeur de Cologne and Cologne du Maté) is concentrated like the eaux de parfums. It keeps the name Cologne, which evokes finesse and freshness.

WHAT DOES MIZENSIR MEAN?
Mizensir is an original name that means "to put in wax the perfumes". This name refers to Alberto Morillas' profession. As a Master Perfumer, it is essential that his candles have an exceptional fragrance. A scent that he creates in the same way as a perfume for the fine perfumery trade.
DO MIZENSIR CANDLES PERFUME?
Since 1999, the company has been producing scented candles designed by Alberto Morillas. As a Master Perfumer, he attaches particular importance to the combustion and diffusion qualities of candles. These two criteria, combined with exceptional fragrances, are essential for the candles to scent and perfume your home.
HOW TO CHOOSE A SCENTED CANDLE OR A ROOM SPRAY?
There is no wrong choice, it is a personal choice. The fragrance should evoke an emotion or a memory. Certain codes may exist: woods are warm, citrus refreshing and flowers evoke delicacy. However, it is up to you to make them your own.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SCENTED CANDLE AND A ROOM SPRAY?
These are two different ways of perfuming a house. They can also be combined as required. From the same perfume essence, we make either a candle or a perfume.
A candle requires a minimum of 1 hour of combustion to perfume a room, whereas the vaporisation of a home perfume is instantaneous. The candle has a real capacity of diffusion of the perfume through time, contrary to the ambient perfume whose micro particles "fall down".
HOW TO PERFUME YOUR HOME?
A scented candle, depending on its size, must be lit for at least 1 hour so that its entire surface is liquid. This "lake" of wax, by evaporation, will diffuse the fragrance in the house, carried by the air flow.
To prolong the fragrance, the room spray can be used on any textile support such as linen, curtains or cushions.
WHERE ARE THEY MADE?
All Mizensir products are handcrafted in Switzerland in the canton of Geneva. This desire to control its production locally is a guarantee of quality and know-how.
WHAT ARE THE PRECAUTIONS FOR USE?
In order for your candle to burn optimally it is important to observe the following instructions:
- Avoid moving the candle while it is burning and do not place it in a draught or on a glass or marble surface.
- Check that the wick is centred when you extinguish the candle. Re-centre it if necessary when the wax is liquid.
- Shorten the wick by 1/2 cm before relighting the candle.
- The candle should not be lit for 3 to 4 hours.
- In order to protect the glass, do not burn the candle until the end, leave at least 1cm of wax.
We advise you to always close the candle tightly and to store it away from light and heat sources. If you follow these instructions you can keep your perfume for several years.

WHAT IMPACT WITH BREXIT?
New VAT laws in the UK came into force on 1 January 2021, which affect both EU and non-EU merchants selling to customers in the UK.
Import VAT and customs duties as well as brokerage fees are payable on our products upon import.
Therefore, when entering a delivery address in the United Kingdom and validating it during check- out, the sales prices displayed will be deducted from VAT.
Government fees (VAT + customs duty) and carrier brokerage fees are the responsibility of the customer .

Orders are prepared Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed on Monday. Each order is prepared within 24 working hours, then handed over to the carrier for delivery to the address previously provided during the order confirmation. In Switzerland, we make deliveries with the transport company Planzer. The delivery time is 24 hours. For deliveries within the European Union, we use Colissimo and UPS services.

The package(s) will be delivered directly to the address indicated when ordering. With Colissimo, in case of absence a delivery notice will be left in your mailbox. It is your responsibility to ensure that you collect the package on time according to the instructions left by the carrier.
